The unveiling of the Klara Majola statue

The Togryers Museum in Ceres unveiled a statue of the late Klara Majola baptised, Violet Jansen on Saturday, 26 August 2023 in front of the John Steyn Library.

The story of Klara Majola (8) from the farm Die Eike, Witzenberg, is a true account of a young girl’s bravery who met her untimely death when she went searching for her blind father who did not return from gathering firewood.
